Staying at home and shielding
Please check on http://www.gov.uk for updates.
The symptoms of coronavirus are:
- a new, continuous cough
- a high temperature
- a loss of or change to your sense of smell or taste
Having these symptoms does not necessarily mean you have the illness. The symptoms are similar to other illnesses that are much more common, such as cold and flu.
The practice is required to take all appropriate measures to protect patients and ensure we can continue to deliver healthcare services to our patients safely.
The NHS 111 Corona advice service will ask you some questions in order to assess if you are likely to have Covid-19 and if you are likely to need medical help
If you have Covid-19 symptoms
Stay at home and self-medicate if needed with paracetamol. If you wish to get more information then you can go online to the NHS111 website which has useful information and links. You should isolate yourself at home for 10 days. If your symptoms worsen and you feel your breathing is deteriorating or if at the end of 10 days your symptoms have not abated then and only then should you contact NHS111. Initial contact should be online, where there are links to appropriate services. If you do not have access to the internet or do not find the information you need then use the NHS 111 phone line.
