At present, the only vaccines the practice is providing for travel are: Hepatitis A, Typhoid and Diphtheria, Tetanus & Polio (combined DTP).
If you require any of the above vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to complete a travel questionnaire at least 6 weeks prior to travel. This can be downloaded here but please remember that you will need to contact the surgery about 7-10 days after you have sent the form to enquire what vaccinations you require. The Nurses will have assessed your vaccination requirements based on the information provided so please give as much detail as possible. Please note the surgery will not ring you if you need vaccinations, you must contact the practice to check your requirements. Please be aware that most vaccines need to be in your system at least two weeks before you travel to give the best protection against the possible risk of infection.
Whilst we will always try to accommodate patients who have booked holidays at short notice, at busy times this may not be possible.
